St. Joseph's Institute on Intergrative Aging
Silver Hiking Group
Come join this fun way to get out in nature, get a little exercise and be with other people in a safe, socially distant way! We'll meet Monday, October 5 @ 2pm at the Cummings Preserve in Gorham. This is an easy, 0.8 mile trail described by Maine Trail Finder as "lollipop loop trail". The trail begins with Sappi’s canoe portage trail, which is a short way back up the road from the parking area. The next section of the trail travels on the remains of the historic Oxford-Cumberland Towpath. At the east end, the trail loops around along the Presumpscot River, with a short spur trail at the east end of the loop providing access to the water. "
Please wear sturdy shoes and bring a water bottle and a mask (and a walking stick if you wish). We will be maintaining proper social distancing during our hike, please also bring a mask.
